Often, firms have to operate with limited storage and warehouse space. After all, square footage comes at a premium and splashing out on premises that are too large can be a mistake, stretching companies’ budgets too far. However, the lack of room can make their lives difficult.
This is where forklifts come into their own. By investing in the right vehicles of this kind, enterprises can solve many of the problems they would otherwise face.
An article in Materials Handling World Magazine recently drew attention to this issue. It noted that Flexi trucks provide a “space efficient solution” because they help to eliminate any so-called “dead aisle space”. It suggested that this can increase usable storage space by between 25 and 50 per cent, while also making handling operations much more efficient. This can significantly reduce the cost per pallet stored by organisations.
The news source added: “Among the Flexi range is the four-wheel, electric-powered Flexi VNA – a truck designed to offer faster, safer work cycles with optimum stability in aisles as narrow 1,600mm wide.”
Firms keen to buy used forklifts might be interested in this particular model.
The magazine added: “The Flexi VNA, which can lift pallets to heights of up to 7.9 metres, is supplied as standard with treaded cushion rubber tyres for maximum traction in wet outdoor conditions, while twin front wheel drive means that the weight of the truck and the load is evenly divided between the front two tyres to further enhance traction and minimise tyre wear.”
It also added that companies which invest in Flexi trucks vary in nature and deal with anything from foodstuffs to engine parts. However, they all share in common the need to maximise efficiency within their storage areas.
Before businesses hand over money for a used forklift, it is vital they assess whether or not the vehicle in question meets all of their practical needs.
